River Dee Machinery is a sawmill machinery and spare parts agent working with European suppliers to support the UK and Irish markets.
Based in North Wales, River Dee Machinery was founded in 2000 by Owner and Managing Director, Stephen Williams, whose previous experience spanned workshop maintenance, timber hauling, machinery dealing and importation and latterly, technical sales for a UK sawmill agency.
With thousands of miles under his belt and his experience in the saw milling industry, Stephen took all his technical hands-on knowledge, relationships with European suppliers and trust from UK and Irish mills and bridged the gap to create River Dee Machinery.
Starting with 2 suppliers back in 2000, River Dee Machinery, now a small business of 4, works with 8 machinery suppliers and 70+ spare parts suppliers to ensure we can offer customers the parts they need when they need them – whether it’s spares for stock, urgent parts following a breakdown or in preparation for a shutdown.
River Dee Machinery works with around 80 sawmill and pallet manufacturers across the UK and Ireland giving us the span to support our European suppliers up and down the country. This breadth of customers also means Stephen has seen it all and typically has a solution for everything, along with a reference to how it can be done.
We have a multifaceted approach with a team of 3 working on spare parts and Stephen managing projects. Our spare parts service includes chain, plastics and reconstruction of tool arms and abraders.
